Tucked away OTP Northwest in Cartersville there’s a monthly meet for the off-road inclined called Lifts and Lagers. Hosted at a brewery nestled at the edge of downtown you might expect the meet to be small, but despite the uncommon snow flurries in the air and the cold weather, quite a few rigs were parked in the lots next to and behind the brewery. A quick introduction to the host, Hill, confirmed what we had already noticed- everyone was welcome. There were no brand specifics or preferences, no requirements of experience or build- just come and hang out with some familiar and new faces, talk cars, life, camping, whatever fit the mood. We knew a few of the folks in attendance that week, and it was nice to also meet new people as well. Perhaps it was the weather, but this meet definitely felt more about the people (and the dogs) than the rigs, feeding that warm community feeling we love.
