This meet is relatively quiet and while it has been happening for a over a year now, I only recently learned there was a weekly meet closer to my home than a lot of the meets that happen on the east side of the city. We were able to squeeze in a visit this week on 3 19 and meet some new friends, see some familiar faces and learn a little bit about what the group is about. The goal is to build community where folks can get together, hang out, have a mid week meal and talk about cars with likeminded people. The meet is rain or shine, 7pm every Wednesday, but does move around each week, so if you’re interested in a meet that pops around Cobb County, check out the Facebook group to ensure you know when and where to be. The host, Tim Crawley, is one of the friendliest faces in the community and will make sure everyone has a seat at the table. We have been to meets that are set up like this one, but contrary to the events we frequent, this group actually sits down and has their meal together a lot of the time, ensuring everyone has the chance to sit and talk with one another. Nature treated us to another lovely cloud speckled sunset sky for a little extra drama. I don’t know if we will be able to make it to a lot of these meets, but I do plan on making them part of our rotation if time allows.
