Pints and Pistons JDM vs DTM

This was our first time at a Pints and Pistons meet, and we picked a good one to start off with. This meet brought out a lot of fun builds, including two manual swapped Mercedes, lots of BMWs, an Evo 5 and a VR4 Galant. Presented by Traction Insurance (if you’re not familiar, http://www.tractionins.com), there was a trophy for best of both JDM and DTM and the event was titled to reflect the upcoming JZilla track day of the same name ( https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/jdm-vs-dtm-friends-presented-by-southrnfresh-michelin-raceway-road-434585  if you want to register) bringing together many corners of the Atlanta community to one event.

Round trip brewing were fantastic hosts, providing efficient service while still answering questions, and while I’m not usually a big frozen drink fan, the adult slush was fantastic. They were short a food vendor, and through no fault of her own the taco vendor was low on food but she was also incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate as many folks as possible with her limited offerings. There is a playground for the kids and a large inside area with TVs which were showing the F1 race while we were there.

As is the case with all meets, we were told this one varies in size each week, but there seems to be a pretty good appreciation for the event usually, and I see many posts coming from those who have made it out more times than not. The host of the event, Matt, was also very friendly and welcoming to us as we made our trips around the lot and brewery. This is a meet we would absolutely suggest checking out, family and dogs included, if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon.
