Koru x Antidote

So let’s just be super transparent here for the sake of this post. 1- we went to this meet for the cars, and to see all the folks we know at Koru and friends that we’ve known for ages and 2- despite being a woman, I know NOTHING about fashion except a few designer’s names and those red bottomed shoes. To say this was a blending of lots of interests would be an understatement, but man it was a lot of fun, even for me and my lack of fashion sense.

It felt seamless, honestly. Mixing fashion, which often gives the middle finger to the status quo, and drift cars which somehow still suffer the stigma of serving a lesser purpose motorsport, seems a no brainer. The blending of so many people from different walks of life made for an amazing array of outfits ranging from the most casual to very dressed up and anything between, and of course the cars matched lock step. Mostly stock or completely stock grocery getters and commute cars parked off to the sides and full out, well styled drift cars and street cars filled in the center nearest the shop, and of course there was a D.J., a pop up shop with collaborations with Lu’udan and free roam of the shop while you got to take in all the eye candy. The food trucks on site were great, we tried drinks from one and food from the other, and the atmosphere was exactly what I expected, somewhere between big city energy and small town friendliness.
