It was hot. Like excessively hot. Grody. Stifling. Draining. Sweat in places you ought not as soon as you leave the AC kind of hot. And those big fluffy clouds in the sky? They offered no relief, so overlanders did what overlanders do- they popped out the awnings and settled in the shade, creating a path shielded from the blaze of the sun in patches and swaths. The meet had to move to the back lot as the side lot is closed to construction and the flow honestly felt better having everyone in one lot and for this specific meet it created a lot of space for those awnings to be used. The beer was great, per usual, and there was a food truck folks adored parked out front.
