I hesitated to write this one and very much delayed in sharing it- not because I have a single negative thing to say, but because I don’t, and I’d hate to see what I truly loved about this meet get lost to an overcrowding issue. While the meet has already grown past the size offered by the space behind Perc on Hosea L Williams drive, it doesn’t feel cramped or crowded and absolutely no one seemed frustrated or irritated by the in and out of traffic as folks came and left. We arrived a little after 8 am after linking up with some friends upon our arrival ITP and the main lot was already very full, leading us on a quick detour to other parking lots nearby. But that was also okay, because we weren’t alone and there were other cool cars parked in these other spaces, too.

We got to spend a good bit of time walking both close lots and the street parking before we headed into an exceptionally busy coffee shop where we picked a donut and some drinks and enjoyed a glass or two of the complimentary water sat out on the counter (for which I was grateful, since July in Georgia means it was already uncomfortably hot at 9am). It was our first time into a Perc, and if you know me at all, you know I am a massive coffee fiend so I was excited to try a new spot. I wasn’t disappointed – they seem to take care that what they are putting out is well prepared and balanced and I hope to try more of their menu in the future. As the meet wound down we had the chance to talk with the organizer and I cannot stress how nice and welcoming she is, and from the very first interaction it was clear she was interested in building a cool ITP meet to hang with her friends and the community at large- no pretense, no expectations of it being more than something so simple as cars and coffee- which is exactly what lead to not just myself but also my husband falling in love with this meet. So if you’re looking for an ITP, super relaxed slow Sunday vibe, check out Cars and Coffee and see if you adore it as much as we did.
