Polished Meet

This started as quick “we should do a car show” message between friends, and quickly turned into ideas being tossed around and four people involved in the Atlanta car community banding together to create a very chill meet to start the season off.

Put together by Detailers Products and Atlanta Breakfast Rally with additional cohosts Antrieb  and Octane ATL, we wanted to be sure this event was welcoming to all makes and models. There was space for everyone- the show cars, the driven cars, the pavement princesses and the muddy off roaders- if you love your car, you were welcome, and this created a fantastic diverse group of people and cars.

Atlanta Breakfast Rally and I got there early to ensure we could help with any last minute details, help direct parking and help Antrieb get his popup shop set up. The weather was unseasonably warm, making this feel more like a mid spring evening and folks seemed eager to spend the night outside because the parking lot quickly filled both front and back, and overflow of street cars began trickling to the lower lot with the overland and off-road builds.

Food was available on site from a fantastic truck, Two Brothers Taqueria. While I’ve not yet tried the actual tacos from them, I have had a variety of quesadillas which are always surprisingly more meat than cheese and full of flavor, and the plate of nachos our friends were served was massive and they did not skimp on the toppings.

The group of cohosts each donated raffle prizes ranging from some shirts, detailer products, a photo shoot with me and a track day from Jzilla. The shop was open for anyone needing any goods to keep their cars looking tidy and in the wash bay Antrieb had shirts for sale, as well as some stickers for the taking. We were treated to a stunning sunset and an evening of great community, with the official meet ending at 8pm, but a few of us hanging out to snap some extra photos after the sun had set (more of those to come).

A huge thank you to everyone who made it out and made this such a great, diverse meet- from the JDM crew to the lifted trucks, there was a little something for everyone. There may be another one of these in the spring, and I hope to see as big of a group then too. With all that said, it’s officially car show and driving season, Atlanta, and I hope to see you out there!
