If you’ve been around the Atlanta car scene recently, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of Justin Bonnet or one of his numerous enterprises. He can be found bringing out the Detailer’s Products van to meets and track days, detailing cars at the shop where they are the exclusive dealer for Shine Supply, or hosting his podcast, Let’s Grow. Justin tends to show up nearly constantly for folks and helps promote his friends and family and any of their ideas or businesses by sharing events, posts, and anything else he can to help build up the community. It was obvious the community wanted to return the favor of showing up, and when he and George Atchison announced Pistons and Peaks as a Friday night meet crossover event with Skottles and Bottles, folks took over the parking lots. It was another cold February meet, and that absolutely kept some people home, but a Friday night meet also brought out a lot of people looking to enjoy some social time after a work week. When we reached out to Justin to see if he had anything he wanted us to be sure to include about the event, it was just appreciation for everyone showing up and being honored folks saw he was hosting and felt compelled to be there, too. He did ask to say a special thanks to George, and also Mike Forsythe, so here’s that special heartfelt thanks from Justin, via me.

The meet itself was diverse. Initially it was mostly street cars up top, overlanders and off roaders in the lot below, bringing out folks of all walks to mingle together. I am loving the amount of meets where all people and types of cars are welcome, and it was obvious Pistons and Peaks was meant to be inviting for everyone. As the hours rolled on people came and went, creating a rotation of all types of builds, lightly modified to extensive work done, and a large group of sport bikes eventually gathered at the front of the shop. I look forward to seeing how this meet grows and changes over the next year as the community shows up for folks who show up for them.
